The day of Cupid is here

Valentine's day - just around the corner again!

The other day me and some friends were talking about how much of a rage it was in school. Popular girls would get roses and more roses, boys would propose or hint their admiration, girls who couldn't stand being less popular would buy themselves a bunch of roses and so on...

We all laughed our ass off on the silly issue and the triviality of it. But was it or is it this trivial, really? Isn't the dream of being popular carried on in us, aren't we always in the race for being the favorite of all? The rat race is all about it too - more money, more popular, more friends, more clothes, more shoes, etc.

Anyways, I am in a city where there are couples wherever you look - in the parks, CCD's and Barista's, restaurants,  and I can't help but wonder that what being a 'single' would really be like. Are there others like me out here?

A p.s note - what if getting boyfriends was as easy as buying roses for yourself? ;)

The 'chic' is back

It's been more than 6 months in this new city and the city has been growing on me, in me, constantly, consistently. I haven't written a word in all these months and just like that, it feels the right time to get back to blogville but with a new self, naughty side up ;)

I have discovered new things, from new waxing creams to new places to eat, my new found love for shoes and the distance from old passions. Facebook has become boring, orkut is ancient, my friends from blogging days have become uncles and aunties (pun intended) and the kids have grown up.

I can't write romantic anymore, the pessimist in me has settles and the cynic has run away. Too much about me...

I need to sign off - takes time to get used to writing again.
