Valentine's day - just around the corner again!
The other day me and some friends were talking about how much of a rage it was in school. Popular girls would get roses and more roses, boys would propose or hint their admiration, girls who couldn't stand being less popular would buy themselves a bunch of roses and so on...
We all laughed our ass off on the silly issue and the triviality of it. But was it or is it this trivial, really? Isn't the dream of being popular carried on in us, aren't we always in the race for being the favorite of all? The rat race is all about it too - more money, more popular, more friends, more clothes, more shoes, etc.
Anyways, I am in a city where there are couples wherever you look - in the parks, CCD's and Barista's, restaurants, and I can't help but wonder that what being a 'single' would really be like. Are there others like me out here?
A p.s note - what if getting boyfriends was as easy as buying roses for yourself? ;)
